On April 11, 2002 we had a wire wrapping/PMC/dichroic glass class which lasted for two days. Two very enjoyable ladies came to learn these techniques. One, Velima Lawson, from Gate City, Virginia and the other, a little more shy, Zenda Conerly, from Kingsport, Tennessee. It took a while for Zenda to get warmed up, but boy when she did. Both seemed to enjoy themselves as they struggled with some of the wire wrapping. Also, Kathy, a Yankee who lives here now, was there learning. (Kathy took pictures.) As you notice, they didn't even notice the camera as they concentrated. The first day they learned all about PMC clay and designing jewelry and coating leaves.
Here we have Zenda struggling with a piece of wire wrap that she is making into a pin so that she can replace the tape!
Jo, Zenda and Velima seem to be having a good time in this one. Must have been after wine coolers.
Jo is demonstrating a technique here.

The second day and some of the first we spent on wire wrapping. We learned 2 bracelets, a ring, and were working on a silver bracelet with gold wire wrap when we ran out of time. Velima and Zenda had a long trip ahead of them. Of course, we could have probably gotten alot more done if we hadn't had to go to A.C. Moore, Bed Bath and Beyond, Best Buy, and of course, Atlantic Bread Company for lunch.
We became good friends and hit it off immediately. All of us have a sick sense of humor and really enjoyed each other. Hopefully, Velima and Zenda will be back soon to continue with our wire wrapping and learn dichroics.

Here we have Velima's hands.

Here we see Velima asking Jo a question.
Again, notice the wine coolers!!!
